Timur-i Lang (Tamerlane, Timur the Lame) is born in Uzbekistan. A brutal ruler of Samarkand, Tamerlane will cut a wide swath of destruction across Persia and the Middle East while trying to reconstruct the Mongol Empire.

Tamerlane will found the Timurid Dynasty and becomes infamous for building pyramids out of the skulls of his slain enemies. His great-great-grandson, Babur, will be the founder of the Mughal Dynasty in India.
